9am – Noon
Location: Meeting at the 36 Bridge. From the north side of West Liberty Park (Lions Ball Park on Maps) to Mad River Gorge Park in Clark County, covering 18 access points into the river.
Purpose: Unfortunately, not everyone does their part, and the river and its surrounding areas are littered with trash. Our goal is to host a cleanup with support from as many outdoor groups, organizations, and businesses as possible to help keep the Mad River a special place for all who enjoy time on the river.
How You Can Help: We need various supplies and resources to ensure the success of this cleanup effort. Here are some things that would be greatly appreciated:
- Heavy-duty trash bags
- Protective gloves for volunteers
- Hi-vis vests
- First aid equipment
- Water/drinks
- Snacks for volunteers
- Discounted lunches at your establishment for volunteers
- Pickup truck beds for transporting filled trash bags and larger items
- Spread the word about the event and promote it through social media and other outlets
- Access to a dumpster or rental and delivery/pickup of a dumpster
- Personal participation
Your support and participation will have a significant impact on our cleanup and conservation efforts.
A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for the River cleanup last year!
The turnout was fantastic, and together we made a real impact. A special shoutout to our incredible partners and sponsors – your support is invaluable! When we come together with a shared goal, there’s no limit to what we can achieve.
We are grateful for each and every person who contributed to this successful event!
