Hi all,
There’s a LOT going on in our fly fishing, conservation, and outdoor community—and that’s a great problem to have!
The problem is that events are happening across so many different organizations that it can be hard to keep track of everything. We kept thinking: Wouldn’t it be nice if there were one place to find them all?
So, we built one!
I want to give Jeremy Reger all the credit for the tremendous amount of work he put into making this happen. He pulled together events from organizations throughout our area and created a Community Calendar where we can see what’s happening beyond just our own Mad River Chapter events.
You can find it on our website under Events → Community Calendar, or go directly to:
http://events.tumadriver.org
You’ll find fly fishing, conservation, outdoor, educational, and other events from organizations throughout our community. Each event is clearly identified with the organization hosting it and links back to their information for details.
Even better, you can subscribe to events from an individual organization—or the entire community calendar—in Google, Apple, or Outlook. You can also request an email reminder the day before an event.
Please feel free to share the calendar with others. The more people who know what’s happening in our community, the more opportunities we all have to connect, volunteer, learn, fish, and support one another.
And don’t forget what’s coming up with the Mad River Chapter details available on the calendar:
• October 10 — Stream Monitoring
• October 16 — International Fly Fishing Film Festival (IF4) — VIP tickets are still available!
• October 17 — Mad River Cleanup — A few cleanup shirts are still available, too.
There’s a lot happening out there. Hopefully Jeremy’s hard work makes it a little easier for all of us to find it!
